“Act on Registration, Evaluation of Chemical Substances (AREC, hereinafter referred to as K-REACH)” stipulates matters concerning registration and notification of chemical substances, examination and evaluation of their toxicity and hazard, and designation of chemical substances that are toxic or hazardous. Its purpose is to protect public health and the environment by promoting the production and utilization of information on chemical substances.
Those who manufacture or import chemical substances must comply with the obligations under this Act prior to manufacturing or importing such substances.
