| New chemicals | If the annual volume is <1 ton, notification is required with information on hazards, use, etc. |
| Exiting chemicals | If the annual volume is ≥ 1ton, pre-registration is required in the applicable tonnage band for grace period granted for registration. If the following grace period has ended, registration is required without pre-registration. * For PECs, registration is required without pre-registration. Grace period for existing chemicals ≥ 1tpa 1) ≥ 1,000 tpa or CMR: Registration required by 31 Dec 2021 2) 100-1,000 tpa: Registration required by 31 Dec 2024 3) 10-100 tpa: Registration required by 31 Dec 2027 4) 1-10 tpa: Registration required by 31 Dec 2030 |
